Licht, Raum und Wahrnehmung sind die Strukturen, mit denen Andrea Flemming arbeitet. Ihre Arbeit umfasst Fotografie, Skulptur, Installation und ortsspezifische Interventionen. Andrea Flemmings besonderes Interesse gilt räumlichen Wahrnehmungsebenen, die verknüpft sind mit unseren Empfindungen und Erfahrungen. Während ihres Aufenthaltes in New York entstand eine Strecke experimenteller Bilder auf Büttenpapier mittels Cyanotypie. Mit diesem fotografischen Edeldruckverfahren thematisierte sie Aufnahmefähigkeit, Distanz, Durchlässigkeit und Flüchtigkeit. So wurde das direkte Arbeiten mit Licht selbst zum Thema.

Light, space and perception are the structures with which Andrea Flemming works. Her work includes photography, sculpture, installation and site-specific interventions. Andrea Flemming is particularly interested in spatial levels of perception that are linked to our sensations and experiences. During her stay in New York, she created a series of experimental images on handmade paper using cyanotype. With this noble photographic printing process, she thematised receptivity, distance, permeability and fleetingness. In this way, working directly with light itself became a theme.
